Among the audience were members of the festival organizing committee, Pyongyangites, youth and students, foreigners and overseas Koreans.

A performance was given by art troupes of North and South Hamgyong and Ryanggang provinces at the Pyongyang Grand Theatre.

The performance began with song and dance "We Are the Happiest in the World". Put on the stage were female chorus "Song of Mangyongdae", folk dance "Playing with Flowers in Spring", flute duet "We Spread Flower Seeds of Revolution" and other colorful numbers.

Through guitar and male quartet "Leader, the Night Is Far Advanced" and female folk song solo "We Sing of This Greatest Happiness" the artistes represented the deep yearning and reverence of all people for President Kim Il Sung who devoted all his life to the country and the people as the sun of the nation.

At the Moranbong Theatre artistes of the National Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra of the Yun I Sang Music Institute sang high praises of the army building feats performed by Kim Il Sung, iron-will brilliant commander, who defeated two formidable imperialists in one generation and provided the proud history and tradition of the building of the revolutionary armed forces.

Acrobats of the National Circus, provincial art troupes and art squads put colorful magic pieces on the stage of the Pyongyang Circus Theater.

A performance was given by the art troupes of Koreans in China and the International United Confederation of Koreans and art groups of the Samjigang Cooperative Farm in Jaeryong County and the Sangwon Cement Complex.

The artistes of the art troupe of Koreans in China put on the stage immortal classic masterpiece male solo "Nostalgia", female solo "Korea, Let Me Embrace Thee Again" and other numbers with the ardent love for the socialist homeland associated with the great life of the peerlessly great persons.

The art squad of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, the central art squad for increased production and the North Phyongan Provincial Art Squad gave a performance at the National Theatre and the art squads of Pyongyang City, South Hamgyong and North Hwanghae provinces at the Pothonggang Circus Theatre.

The itinerant art squads gave performances at the Yun I Sang Concert Hall and the Pyongyang City Hall of Culture and members of art groups of factories and enterprises at the Pyongyang International Cinema House, the Cultural Hall of the Ministry of Railways and the Central Hall of Workers.
