With the Foal Eagle joint military exercises now in full swing, the puppet forces staged large-scale saber-rattling against the DPRK with the three services involved. This is a dangerous move to escalate tension, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a bylined commentary.

The situation on the Korean Peninsula has never been so tense and dangerous as now.

The puppet forces, regarding the present situation prevailing on the peninsula as a golden opportunity for realizing their failed ambition for invading the north, are staging the provocative saber-ratting in collusion with their master U.S. imperialists on a daily basis.

The puppet warmongers claimed that the saber-rattling is aimed to cope with the "provocation from the north".

But, the story about "provocation from the north" touted by them is sheer sophism profoundly confusing right and wrong.

The outbreak of a nuclear war on the peninsula has now become a fait accompli owing to the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces. Therefore, it is natural for the DPRK to move to the actual military action to resolutely foil the enemies' vicious aggression attempts by mobilizing the deterrent for self-defence.

There will be no mercy in an all-out action to end their reckless military threat and aggression, firmly defend the country's sovereignty and supreme dignity and achieve the historic cause of national reunification.

If the enemies dare provoke the DPRK while going reckless, it will immediately blow them up with an annihilating strike with the use of powerful nuclear means.
