U.S. Is to Blame for Escalating Tension on Korean Peninsula: KCNA Commentary
|
|
Pyongyang, April 13 (KCNA) -- The U.S. warmongers dispatched super-large nuclear-powered carriers Nimitz and Stennis to waters adjacent to the Korean Peninsula, claiming that they are to cope with "provocations" from the DPRK. In the wake of this dispatch, they let nuclear submarine Cheyenne operate in waters off the vicinity of the peninsula, revving up the war atmosphere to an extreme pitch. The U.S. has staged nuclear war maneuvers for decades but it is something unprecedented that all type nuclear strike means are involved in the saber-rattling to stifle the DPRK. All facts go to prove that the U.S. scenario to ignite a nuclear war in Korea has reached an extremely dangerous phase. The worst situation is now prevailing on the peninsula due to the U.S. desperate moves for a nuclear war. The U.S. is to wholly blame for this tension on the peninsula. The U.S. is making desperate efforts to force the DPRK to dismantle its nukes at any cost from the judgment that the latter's acquisition of tremendous military capability would bring it a total failure in its hostile policy toward Pyongyang as it is directly linked with its strategy for dominating the world. The U.S. prodded the UN into fabricating its "resolutions" on harsh sanctions against the DPRK over its satellite launch in last December and third underground nuclear test in February this year. It is now busy staging unprecedentedly large DPRK-targeted war drills. It worked out even a "plan for jointly coping with provocation of a local war" together with south Korean puppet forces, openly revealing its ulterior aim to develop the war to be preempted by the south Korean army into an all-out nuclear war against the DPRK with huge U.S. forces involved. The U.S. moves to stifle the DPRK have reached their height in their vicious and desperate nature as its all political, economic and military potentials are mobilized. All facts show that it is none other than the U.S. which created such touch-and-go situation in Korea. By shifting its responsibility for the tension on the peninsula on to the DPRK, the U.S. seeks to bring international pressure upon the DPRK and justify its heinous hostile policy toward the latter. With no intrigues, however, can the U.S. break the will of the army and people of the DPRK to win in confrontation with the former. The DPRK's toughest countermeasures for self-defense against the U.S. acts of disturbing peace and stability in the region are just and they are sure to triumph. The army and people of the DPRK will continue intensifying their counteractions to put a definite end to the U.S. vicious hostile policy toward the DPRK. The U.S. would be well advised to bear in mind that it would not be safe in face of the army and people of the DPRK all out to punish it with nukes of justice. |
