She was subject to maltreatment and insult as a member of the stateless nation before the country's liberation. She could lead a worthy life only after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country.

She worked hard, prompted by her single desire to repay even a bit the loving care shown by the Workers' Party of Korea for her. Even after becoming a pensioner, she did a lot of good things such as giving help builders of revolutionary sites and revolutionary battle sites.

She likes wild vegetables, in particular. She always leads an optimistic life, keeping herself busy cooking and cultivating family plot.
