Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung (the Day of the Sun). The Uruguayan paper La Juventud on April 7 dedicated its one whole page to an article titled "Eternal sun of Juche" illustrated with a portrait of smiling Kim Il Sung and photos of his old home in Mangyongdae and Kimilsungia, the immortal flower. It said: Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, is being profoundly revered by progressive mankind as the eternal sun of Juche. He ushered in the new era of the development of international relations based on independence. He set independence as the basic principle in state relations and fixed it as an iron rule to exercise the complete equality and sovereignty in external activities. He is immortal as the sun of Juche in the hearts of progressives as he devoted his whole life to hewing out the era of independence and triumphantly advancing the cause of global independence. The Russian paper Priamurskiye Vedomosti on April 3 carried special articles under the banner title "Great master in the 20th century" illustrated with a photo of Kim Il Sung standing together with leader Kim Jong Il. It cited facts to introduce in detail the data on deep reverence of foreign heads of state for Kim Il Sung, who performed great feats in the world history of politics in the 20th century. The April issue of the German paper Rote Fahne carried a special article titled "Day of Sun, April 15, 2013" accompanied with a portrait of Kim Il Sung and a photo of him standing together with Kim Jong Il. |
