The U.S. is also justifying its war drills as ones for "getting ready to guard against the north" and "defending its ally."

Rodong Sinmun on Sunday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

Such rhetoric is nothing but a petty trick to cover up its ulterior base goal of creating a touch-and-go nuclear war situation on the Korean Peninsula and shift the responsibility on to the DPRK and justify its moves for invading the DPRK.

It is mulling realizing its ambition of holding a dominant position in the Asia-Pacific region at any cost by occupying the DPRK by force of arms which is located in a strategically important point.

It is making last-ditch efforts, afraid that if the DPRK brings about an economy boom backed by nuclear weapons, its policy of hostility toward the DPRK will end in fiasco.

The U.S. tries to evade the responsibility for the situation on the peninsula which is at the point of explosion by its hostile moves to stifle the DPRK. But things will not proceed as it hopes.

The U.S. is resorting to the whole gamut of intrigues. But it is an arch criminal pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the worst phase.

The U.S. imperialist warmongers' act of shifting the blame is aimed to brand the DPRK as the "harasser of peace" in the world eyes and create an atmosphere favorable for its moves for a nuclear war against the DPRK.

But it is a serious blunder.

If the U.S. keeps following its ambition of stifling the DPRK, failing to come back to its senses, the DPRK will mobilize all its war deterrent force to blow up the stronghold of aggression of the U.S.
