A ceremony took place in Hanoi on April 5.

Attending the ceremony were figures of the Commission for External Affairs of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Kindergarten, Vietnamese citizens and staff members of the DPRK mission.

The chief of the kindergarten said in a speech it was of great significance that it received the order of friendship on the occasions of the Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung) and its 35th anniversary.

The chief sincerely wished the Korean people greater successes in the efforts to build a thriving nation and reunify the country under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The kindergarten will do its best to remain a symbol of the friendship between the two countries, the chief stressed.

The participants watched an art performance given by teachers and children of the kindergarten and the DPRK film "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation".
