The work, made public on August 4, Juche 86 (1997), clarifies the idea that President Kim Il Sung performed the immortal exploits for the cause of national reunification.

It formulates the three principles of national reunification, 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo as the three charters for national reunification and indicates the tasks and ways for carrying out the cause of national reunification based on them.

The book releasing ceremony was held in Dhaka on April 9.
