Nakhodkinski Rabochi on Mar. 21 carried an article titled "Kim Jong Il regarded great unity between army and people as national power" with his photo.

He paid particular attention to getting the service personnel ready politically and ideologically, making it possible for the Korean People's Army to become a matchless army, the article said, and went on:

He trained them with the peculiar strategy and tactics and directed great efforts to developing the national defence industry to manufacture combat equipment domestically.

He did not consider the unity between army and people as a mere means of giving help to each other but a great force and believed that no force in the world can match the single-minded unity.

The 13th issue of Patriot carried an article titled "Songun, guarantee for sovereignty" illustrated with photos of Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The article referred to the essence, validity and great vitality of the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il.

The DPRK has thwarted the imperialists' ambition to dominate the world and emerged as an indomitable stronghold of socialism in reliance on the Songun politics, strong Korean People's Army and the harmonious whole of the army and people, the paper stressed.
