Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) -- Political party and organizations of Bulgaria and the Czech Republic issued statements on April 9 in denunciation of the U.S. anti-DPRK moves. The Plovdiv City Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party and the Plovdiv City Council of the Bulgarian Anti-Fascism Union in a joint statement said: We are watching the development of the situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula with serious concern. Korea was partitioned due to the interference of foreign forces against the reunification of the country. The U.S., which provoked the Korean War in 1950, is still escalating the tension on the peninsula. The U.S. is still opposed to withdrawing its armed forces from south Korea. We back the stance of the DPRK to have foreign forces withdrawn from south Korea and peacefully settle the issue of reunification by pooling efforts of the Koreans. The Paektusan Czech-Korea Friendship Association said in its statement: We bitterly condemn the U.S. and its allies for escalating the tension on the peninsula to an extreme pitch. We demand the U.S. halt such a provocative and dangerous military drill at once and pull its troops out of the peninsula. We fully support the measures taken by the DPRK to cope with moves of the imperialist big powers which, together with its followers, turned the peninsula into a place of exhibition of nukes, creating the state of war. We are convinced that the Korean people will surely achieve the peaceful development under the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea. |
