At the press conference, the speakers denounced the Lee Myung Bak regime for having trampled down the basic rights of the workers in the public field during its office.

In particular, corruption, irregularities and actions for seeking profits are prevalent in the fields of education and public health and the misfortune and pain of part-time workers have become extreme, they said, adding:

This treacherous rule is being followed by the present regime which is keen on the moves of privatization to turn the public field into a means of moneymaking for businessmen.

They called for protesting against the "government's" privatization, rallied around the headquarters.

They vowed to stage the struggle to realize the workers' rights, get the discrimination against part-time workers abolished and check privatization with concerted efforts.
