The venue of the festival was crowded with an endless stream of visitors every day as it presented spectacular scenery with flowers of the sun. They were exhibited by at least 80 units including armed forces organs, ministries and national institutions, service personnel, people, school youth and children, overseas Koreans, foreign embassies and international bodies here, friendship and solidarity organizations, figures of all social standings, members of the societies for disseminating and supporting immortal flowers and Chinese residents in the DPRK.

Present at the ceremony were Kim Ki Nam, Yang Hyong Sop, officials concerned, officials of the armed forces and power organs, ministries and national institutions, service personnel of the Korean People's Army, Pyongyangites and overseas compatriots.

Present there on invitation were Indonesian Ambassador to the DPRK Nasri Gustaman and foreign guests.

Diplomas for top prize were conferred upon the KPA unit under Kim Song Dok, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Diplomas for special prize went to the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and the Indonesian embassy here.

Diplomas for best and excellent prizes and festival organization and art prizes were awarded to many units including the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea, the Ministry of People's Security, the Ministry of Metallurgical Industry and the Kyonghung Guidance Bureau.

Dozens of service personnel, people, school youth and children, overseas compatriots, foreigners and Chinese residents received diplomas for prize of merit and participation certificates.

Diplomas for prize of cultivation technology went to those cultivators of the units who distinguished themselves in cultivating Kimilsungias in a scientific and technological manner and exhibiting them.
