The April issue of Magazine of Hong Kong, China International Ties said in an article titled "Kim Il Sung, shining august name":

The august name of Kim Il Sung, founder of socialist Korea, means the sun.

He embarked upon the road of the revolutionary struggle for liberating the country from the Japanese imperialists' occupation in his teens and founded the Juche idea, Songun idea.

He waged a protracted anti-Japanese armed struggle, liberating the country and founding a country of the people. He inflicted the first defeat in history upon the U.S. which boasted of being the "strongest" in the world and brought about a victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

He led the social revolution of two stages and socialist construction of various phases to victory, setting a worldwide example in the struggle to achieve the independence of the popular masses.

He, at the same time, positively supported the struggle for national liberation, the anti-imperialist struggle and the building of a new society in different countries.

The Juche idea founded by him is recognized as the idea guiding the human cause of independence.

His august name is shining as an eternal banner for victory and the truth and invincibility of the Juche idea have been more clearly proved as the time goes by.

The April 10-17 issue of the Russian newspaper Khabarovski Ekspres said in an article titled "Invulnerable fortress defending the people" that the Korean revolutionary armed forces founded by the President worked a historic miracle of defeating the two formidable enemies -- U.S. and Japanese imperialisms.

The Mexican newspaper Unidad Nacional on March 31 and the April issue of the Peruvian newspaper Accion Nacionalista praised the revolutionary life and feats of the President.
