They were attended by deputies to the State Duma of Russia, personages of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Committee of the Lenin Young Communist League and the group for solidarity with the DPRK and masses.

At the rally speakers said that the imperialist aggressors will never escape powerful strikes of the DPRK, expressing indignation at the moves of the U.S. and its followers to ignite a war.

The DPRK encourages the world progressives in their will to stand up against the U.S. high-handed practices, they noted, adding the DPRK, the fortress of socialism, will triumph and communists of Russia wish the DPRK victory. They voiced solidarity with its army and people in their struggle to defend its sovereignty.

A statement was adopted at the rally. It said:

The DPRK is a popular socialist country.

The U.S.-led imperialist forces are making all desperate efforts to trample down the Korean people's freedom.

We regard it as our duty to support the Korean people in their struggle to defend their freedom and independence.

We protest against the U.S. aggression moves.

The Korean people have the right to decide how to live and which way they should go.

A solidarity demonstration of people from all walks of life was staged on the road outside the DPRK embassy in Moscow on April 15.
