U.S. Hostile Actions against DPRK Will End in Shameful Fiasco: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- The U.S. trigger-happy forces should draw a lesson from the shameful defeat it suffered after attacking the young DPRK on the basis of its miscalculation in the 1950s and would be well advised not to misjudge it, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a bylined article.

Since the U.S. and its south Korean puppet forces inked "the joint plan for coping with the provocation of a local war ", the situation on the Korean Peninsula has reached a more alarming phase.

The danger and gravity of the plan lie in that it provided the U.S. with a legal and institutional mechanism to get its aggressor forces automatically involved in local armed conflict between the north and the south.

As a matter of fact, this plan makes it possible for the U.S. to go to a war by mobilizing its nuclear war hardware in its mainland and the Pacific region.

The present Obama Administration is going in the direction of stepping up its hostile policy toward the DPRK, far from drawing a lesson from the failure of this policy.

It is making desperate efforts for fear that its policy will totally go bust if the DPRK, a full-fledged nuclear weapons state, achieves even economic prosperity by building a thriving nation.

It is a legitimate right of the DPRK to self-defence to take countermeasures now that it has become clear that the U.S. scenario for a nuclear war has reached the phase of its implementation which nothing can stop.

The DPRK does not want a war but is compelled to stand up against the aggressors as they are trying to impose the war upon it.

The DPRK, however, has nothing to fear.

If the U.S. preempts an attack, misjudging its rival again, its strongholds will be blown up.
