Cuban Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, April 23 (KCNA) -- Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK German Hermin Ferras Alvarez hosted a reception at his embassy on Monday on the occasion of the birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Ui Chun, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned.

The ambassador said in his address at the reception that the revolutionary career of Kim Il Sung serves as an example not only for the Korean people but for the world revolutionary people.

The dear respected Kim Jong Un, brilliant successor to the revolutionary cause of general secretary Kim Jong Il, is wisely leading the Korean people, he said, and went on:

I am convinced that the DPRK will certainly emerge victorious in their struggle to build a thriving socialist nation and reunify the country.

The ambassador paid highest tribute to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and sincerely wished Kim Jong Un bigger success in his work steering the Korean people.

Yang Hyong Sop in his speech lauded Kim Il Sung defeated U.S. and Japanese imperialisms and built a socialist power on this land.

He recalled that Kim Il Sung together with Fidel Castro, Rau Castro and Che Guevara provided the tradition of friendship between the DPRK and Cuba.

He extended thanks to the Cuban people for having voiced invariable support and solidarity for the just cause of the Korean people.

Kim Il Sung will always be alive in the hearts of the Korean people and the world revolutionary people, he stressed.
