The order was instituted Wednesday.

Portrayed inside the 21 mm-diameter circle in the center of the star is a soldier holding the flag of the DPRK surrounded by red ribbon and laurel leaves.

Written in the fluttering flag seen in the upper part of the soldier are letters reading "Victory in Fatherland Liberation War" and in the central part of the red ribbon in the lower part letters reading "60th Anniversary" and "1953" and "2013" on both sides.

On the back side of the order are letters "Order for 60th Anniversary of Victory in Fatherland Liberation War" and a pin for hanging on clothes.

A miniature medal for the order is a metal plate 33 mm in length, 10 mm in width which is wrapped by a cloth with 10 mm-long yellow stripe in the center and 8.5 mm-long red stripes, 1 mm-long white stripes and 2 mm-long blue stripes on both sides.
