Floral Tribute Paid to Statues of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

Service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children visited their statues on Mansu Hill to pay tribute.

Seen standing before their statues was a floral basket sent by Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the KPA.

Laid before the statues were floral baskets in the name of the party, armed forces and power bodies, social organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, institutions, industrial establishments at all levels, farms, schools, etc., and bouquets and flowers.

The participants paid tribute to the commanders of Mt. Paektu who made immortal contributions to founding and developing the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces and fully demonstrated the dignity and might of Songun Korea.

Many people have visited the statues of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and their smiling portraits in different places of Pyongyang, including Kim Il Sung Military University, Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, Ministry of People's Security, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Mansudae Art Studio.

They visited the statues in boundless reverence for the peerlessly brilliant Songun commanders.

Service personnel, people, school youth and children across the country laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before their statues and portraits in residential quarters.
