Socialist Emulation for Rice Transplanting Called for

Pyongyang, May 2 (KCNA) -- The agricultural workers in Anak County, South Hwanghae Province Thursday met at the Oguk Cooperative Farm and called upon the organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea and agricultural workers across the country to launch a socialist emulation for increased grain production by qualitatively finishing rice transplanting in good time this year.

Present there were Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the C.C., the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, officials concerned and agricultural workers in the county.

At the meeting a reporter and speakers vowed to wage a dynamic drive to increase the grain production, bearing in mind the intention of the WPK, which set agriculture as the main orientation for economic construction this year.

A program of the socialist emulation for increased grain production was announced at the meeting.
