It Is U.S. That Scrapped AA: Newspaper
Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- The Supreme Command of the Korean People's Army in a statement issued by its spokesman voided the Korean Armistice Agreement (AA), which had existed for mere form's sake. No one is entitled to find fault with the DPRK over this action.

Rodong Sinmun in a bylined article says this on Saturday.

The article cites facts to disclose U.S. actions of making AA a dead document.

It says:

The U.S. made the pact a waste paper. It also abused it as a signboard for escalating the war moves of invading the DPRK.

Under such prevailing situation, it is clear that Pyongyang can no longer remain bound by the pact nor remain an onlooker to the daily escalated war moves.

Such a measure of the DPRK is a quite natural one as it is determined to go into military actions for self-defense against any targets any moment, not restrained by the pact which had already become a dead document in order to mercilessly punish the aggressors and win the historic wish of Koreans for national reunification.

The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it judges it can bring the DPRK into submission as it did in other parts of the world, regarding the threat, blackmail, high-handedness and pressure as a panacea for ruling the world.

In case the situation on the Korean Peninsula develops in a catastrophic way, the U.S. will be wholly to blame as it persistently moved to scrap the pact.
