Japan's Intention for Overseas Aggression under Fire

Pyongyang, May 4 (KCNA) -- The draft amendment to the constitution worked out by the Japan Liberal Democratic Party specifies Japan's access to the defense force according to the revised content of its Article 9. Japanese Prime Minister Abe blared that "it was set to make sure that the defense force would carry out its responsibility from the standpoint of ensuring collective security for peace and stability of the international community" and that Japan's access to the defense force "will make it possible for the defense force to get involved in the UN forces."

Minju Joson Saturday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This proves that the Japanese reactionaries are working hard to remove the institutional mechanism which bans Japan from participating in war and openly take the path for militarist overseas aggression.

If Japan truly wants global peace, there is no need to revise the present constitution which reflects the will of the international community and the mindset of the Asian people.

What the Japanese reactionaries seek is to build war force as it did before World War II and opt for a war for militarist overseas aggression.

The Japan "Self-Defence Forces" have changed into world-class forces with modern arms and equipment and the scope of their operations now covers broad areas of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific, going beyond areas for self-defense.

The Japanese reactionaries are now trumpeting about the immediate revision of the present constitution, while crying out for "threat" from a certain country. This is a dangerous ploy to bring earlier the day when their ambition for overseas aggression is attained.

The clouds of disaster brought by the island country Japan have already been formed, and it is the matter of time when it will be inflicted upon mankind.
