Nepali Personage Flays U.S. Imperialists' Moves to Stifle DPRK
Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists have worked hard for over half a century to stifle the DPRK founded by President Kim Il Sung. Nil Bir Singh Kansakar, vice-chairman of the Nepal-Korea Friendship Association, said this in a statement on April 30 in denunciation of these moves.

He went on:

The U.S. imperialists ignited a war against the DPRK on June 25, 1950.

Under the wise guidance of Kim Il Sung the heroic Korean people defeated the U.S. imperialists and their allies in the war and won a victory on July 27, 1953.

It is almost six decades since the Korean people won a great victory but the U.S. imperialists have turned down the DPRK's proposal for concluding a peace treaty despite repeated call for it.

The U.S. has pursued a hostile policy toward the DPRK, disturbing its progress and prosperity.

The U.S. imperialists are standing in the way of Korea's reunification.

To carry out their Asia-Pacific strategy, they are keeping lots of nuclear weapons and aggression troops in south Korea, pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war.

The world peace-loving people want to see the grave situation on the peninsula settled as early as possible and demand the U.S. stop its moves to threaten the global peace and invade the DPRK.

They express solidarity with the Korean people in their just struggle.

They will positively turn out in the struggle for independence against imperialism in firm unity with the Korean people.
