Symposium on Medical Science Held
Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- The 15th Pyongyang symposium on medical science of Koreans at home and abroad took place at the Grand People's Study House on Monday.

Present there were Kim Hyong Hun, chairman of the Central Committee of the Medical Association of Korea, officials, scientists and teachers in the field of public health and the delegation of Korean medical persons in Japan led by Kim Tae Sik, vice-chairman of the Korean Health Workers Association in Japan.

Kim Hyong Hun in his opening address expressed belief that the symposium would contribute to developing the medical science and technology of the Korean nation on a higher stage, intensifying the movement for national reunification and achieving the prosperity of the country.

Kim Tae Sik in his congratulatory speech said that the homeland making a leap forward under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is instilling strength and courage into the Koreans in Japan.

The Korean Health Workers Association in Japan will make a contribution to preserving the Juche character and national identity and developing medical science and technology in the homeland, he noted.

A lecture "On Advantages of Socialist Public Health System in Our Country" was given at the symposium.

Diverse papers were presented at the symposium. The speakers explained research successes and experience gained in the work to solve urgent issues arising in healthcare and in the course of introducing latest science and technology into the prevention and treatment of diseases.
