They launched a joint anti-submarine drill in the West Sea on Monday and they are mulling staging joint naval war exercises with the nuclear-powered carrier Nimitz task force involved from about Friday.

This is a premeditated provocation to drive the present war-like situation on the Korean Peninsula to an actual war.

There is the world's largest concentration of war hardware including nukes on the Korean Peninsula and it has no solid mechanism for preventing a war. That is why there can be no local war on the peninsula. Even a slight provocation may immediately develop into a total nuclear war, regional one and a new world war in the end.

Moreover, the Korean Peninsula has been put into the state of war owing to the persistent sanctions of the U.S. and its allies against the DPRK and Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint war exercises staged on an unprecedented scale for two months.

It is not without reason that they openly started shelling drill against the DPRK in the most dangerous hotspot in the southwestern sector of the front.

It is their scenario to mount a surprise nuclear strike at the north from the West Sea of Korea, with the shelling provocation from the waters off Paekryong and Yonphyong islands as a curtain-raiser, and escalate the war in the East Sea of Korea with huge nuclear war means involved.

It is an extremely dangerous nuclear war drumbeat to carry out their scenario for the second Korean War which had already been tested through Key Resolve and Foal Eagle.

All facts once again prove that the U.S. imperialists' policy of threatening and blackmailing the DPRK with nukes remains unchanged and it was entirely just when the DPRK took an option for all-out action against them.

The enemies would be well advised to ponder over the warning served by the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK through the order issued by the Korean People's Army (KPA) Command of the southwestern sector of the front.

Our revolutionary armed forces are fully ready to launch a general offensive to seize the south at a go in line with the firepower striking plan finally ratified by the Supreme Commander.

In case even a single shell drops over the territorial waters of the north during the provocative shelling drills of the enemies in the southwestern waters, they will encounter a prompt counteraction of our revolutionary armed forces.

Units of the rocket force deployed in the southwestern sector of the front will go into a prompt action to reduce the five islands in the West Sea to sea in flames, to begin with.

Our all-out action to be rapidly escalated in the future will demonstrate the will and capability of Songun Korea.
