The work, published on January 3, Juche 81 (1992), clarifies that the historical lesson drawn from the building of socialism is that it is necessary to steadily strengthen the driving force of the revolution, adhere to the socialist principle and boost the comradely unity and cooperation based on independence with faith in socialism and correct guiding idea.

It expounds the idea that it is the general line of the Workers' Party of Korea for building socialism to successfully carry out the three revolutions, ideological, technical and cultural, while consolidating the people's power and steadily increasing its function and role. It also explains the validity of the general line.
