President Kim Il Sung gave perfect answers to all theoretical and practical issues arising in the revolution and construction and authored a lot of works comprehensively dealing with them in the whole period of his revolutionary leadership.

"Kim Il Sung's Selected Works" was brought out on May 10, Juche 42 (1953).

Present at the meeting were Kim Yong Nam, Kim Ki Nam, officials of ministries and national institutions, officials in the fields of science, education and the press and party cadres training institutions and journalists and editors.

Kim Ki Nam, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, made a report.

The reporter said that "Kim Il Sung's Selected Works", a library of the Juche idea, serves as an essential classic of great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, a treasure of the nation and the greatest ideological and mental asset of humankind as it comprehensively deals with the revolutionary career of the peerlessly great man and his ideological and theoretical exploits.

He went on:

Kim Il Sung was an outstanding leader, peerless patriot and great man as he indicated the road to be followed by the era and revolution through his tireless ideological and theoretical activities and made an immortal contribution to carrying out the Korean revolution and the human cause of independence with his distinguished political caliber and total dedication.

The publication of "Kim Il Sung's Selected Works" marked a historic event to be specially recorded in the 100-year history of Kim Il Sung's nation and meant the highest honor and greatest fortune for the country and its people, the era of Juche and mankind.

The reporter noted that since the publication of the book the Korean people have made great progress in carrying out the revolutionary cause of Juche and the human cause of independence.

Leader Kim Jong Il energetically led the work to ensure that the President's works were compiled and published as the nation's treasures, the reporter said, and continued:
