On display there were various kinds of machine designs, model designs and design supporting programs.

What caught the eyes of the visitors was the method of melting in a medium frequency induction furnace, presented by the Central Machine Designing Institute. The method is aimed to improve the quality of carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and cast iron.

Among the exhibits was a design for braking resistant cooling system used in electric locomotive, which ensures the stability of railway service. The design was presented by the Branch Academy of Railway Science under the State Academy of Sciences.

The Electronic Equipment Designing Institute put on display a design of automatic 30 kilogram gauge.

Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering came with a design of a new kind of fish fodder processor. With this processor the Pyongyang Catfish Farm has increased fodder production eight times with less electricity consumption.

There were exchanges of designing technologies at the exhibition.

Kim Chang Gon, a section chief of the Ministry of Machine-building Industry, told KCNA that most of the exhibits have already been applied to industrial establishments.
