This claim made by them without any evidence only sparks off skepticism about the cases, it noted.

If the security authorities kick up a wholesale whirlwind of suppression for "ferreting out forces following the north", it will only entail the consequences of further bedeviling the south-north relations, the letter noted, adding that society is becoming increasingly concerned about the deterioration of these relations.
