Japanese Right-wing Forces' Absurd Assertion Slammed
|
|
Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- Hangyore, Kyunghyang Daily News and Hankuk Ilbo of south Korea on May 13 carried articles denouncing the Japanese right-wing forces for their assertion of justifying the hideous crimes against humanity committed by the Japanese imperialists in the past. The articles said: The mayor of Osaka City of Japan defended the system of sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army by deflecting the responsibility for sexual slavery crimes on the war. He said "comfort women were needed at that time". The mayor even denied the coercive nature of the sexual slavery with such rhetoric that "it has not been confirmed that abduction was made by way of violence and threats". He made no scruple of saying that "it should be asserted that Japan has unreasonably been insulted because of charges quite contrary to fact". Critical voices are rising within Japan in fear of the right-wing forces' remarks going out of control. They are asserting that sexual slavery system was not necessary and that they have no qualifications to make remarks humbling human being and discuss state administration. |
