U.S. and Puppet S. Korea Accused of Unethical Crime against Kwangju Protesters
Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- The Kwangju bloodbath committed by the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean military fascist clique was a thrice-cursed unethical crime that can never be pardoned, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in a bylined article.

The article goes on:

The genocide was a height of human rights violation as the people's desire for independence, democracy and reunification was ruthlessly quenched at the point of bayonets.

The homicidal maniacs went on the rampage, shooting machine-guns, showering shells and bullets from the air and ground and thus scorching Kwangju City and totally destroying and burning down streets, villages and people.

They massacred the protesters by burying them alive, shooting, beating and stabbing them irrespective of their age and sex. Pregnant women were of no exception. Such an indiscriminate genocide was, indeed, beyond human imagination.

The U.S. was the very one who was behind the atrocity.

The nature of U.S. opt-repeated "democracy" and "human rights protection" has been brought to light through the atrocity. On May 22, the U.S. convened a meeting of the "National Security Council" at the White House where it allowed the south Korean fascist military to put down the uprising by force of arms.

At that time the U.S. confirmed that it would follow through on its "security commitment" with puppet south Korea and declared that it does not contradict with the U.S. "human rights policy".

Brezinski, the then special assistant to the U.S. president for national security, blustered even the U.S. forces would be involved in quenching the violent mobs, while calling for quelling them with an iron fist.

Uttering surprising is that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces have gone scot-free despite their unprecedented heinous human rights abuses.

The U.S. and the puppet group of south Korea should be thoroughly punished by the Korean nation and the world people for their unethical crime of having reduced south Korea into a theatre of human rights violation and a tundra of democracy by brandishing bayonets and by resorting to violence.
