Action for Peace on Korean Peninsula Called for in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- Civic, public, academic, religious and other organizations of south Korea on May 15 formed the Joint Council of All Circles for Peace, Reconciliation and Cooperation on Korean Peninsula. An inaugural ceremony took place beside the Seoul City Office. The organization said people of all circles are turning out in the struggle for peace against war because the Korean nation is suffering biggest damage due to the tension on the Korean Peninsula. It called upon all the people to find out a way for peace and realize it. It declared it would conduct activities to achieve durable peace on the peninsula on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration and the 60th anniversary of the Korean Armistice Agreement. |
