Punishment of Chun Doo Hwan Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 19 (KCNA) -- Members of more than 20 civic and public organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on May 16 calling for punishing traitor Chun Doo Hwan, matchless murderer who masterminded the Kwangju massacres. Those organizations included the Seoul Society for Commemorating the May 18 Popular Resistance and the Bar Association for Democratic Society.

At the press conference speakers said additional imposition was passed on to Chun, the erstwhile military dictator, for his irregularities and corruption during his tenure of office, but he has not yet paid it.

Chun is gaining the respect of others while squandering money on a luxury life, they held.

700 million won collected from the people as tax is being allotted for guarding him every year, they said, dismissing it as a mockery of the people.

To punish the murder who violated democracy of society and human rights and committed all corruptions is to set right history, they said.
