The tournament, held in Khabarovsk, Russia from May 15 to 19, brought together more than 90 excellent boxers from 17 countries and regions including the DPRK, Germany, Latvia, Hungary, Moldova and Belgium.

Ri Chung Il excelled all his rivals in the 52kg category.

Kim Chung Hyok won a silver medal in the same category while Ri Chung Hyok and Kim Kyong Sop bronze medals in the 49kg and 60kg categories each.
