Pyongyang, May 22 (KCNA) -- The 1st batch of Rason-Mt. Kumgang international tourists by the ship Royale Star went sightseeing in Mt. Kumgang on Tuesday. The tourists spared no admiration at high and steep cliffs, including Manmulsang (myriad-shaped peaks), rocks of fantastic shapes, thick forests, deep valleys and other scenic spots. Albert Kukharyk, vice captain of the ship, told KCNA: "The view of Mt. Kumgang is so fascinating. It is regretful for me not to see all of its spots for lack of time. Back home, I will tell my family members about the scenery of Mt. Kumgang. I want to continue to work in the tourist ship for a long time, so I will come here again." Surianto, a crewman of the ship, said: "I have never seen such scenic mountain as Kumgang. To my regret, I have no time to see Lagoon Samil and other spots. I will tour all other spots of this mountain if I come here again." Choe Pok Sil, a resident in Jilin Province of China, said: "It was marvelous to command the view of Mt. Kumgang from the top of Manmulsang. Now I am so excited. I once visited Jeju Island in south Korea, but Mt. Kumgang is much more beautiful than the island." The tourists left Mt. Kumgang on the same day. |
