Lao Party Official Interviewed

Pyongyang, May 24 (KCNA) -- Soukanh Mahalath, secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, secretary of the Vientiane City Party Committee and mayor, was interviewed by KCNA before flying back home. Noting the objective of the delegation's visit was to boost the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and the ties between Vientiane and Pyongyang, he said: The friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung are developing on good terms day by day under the deep care of Choummaly Sayasone and the dear respected Kim Jong Un. Our visit to the DPRK offered us an opportunity to learn good experience gained by it and make a resolve to apply it. It is a common obligation of the two countries to develop their long-standing friendly relations. We will do our best to boost them. I am sure that the bilateral friendly relations will last forever. While staying in the DPRK, we have witnessed the Korean people registering remarkable successes in various fields under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un, he noted, and continued: Kim Jong Un set forth the strategic line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force at the March, 2013 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. We fully support the line which serves as a landmark of the Korean people's victory. It is our belief that the Korean people will achieve steady progress under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. We are sure a final victory is in store for the Korean people. The Korean people's just cause will be successfully accomplished. |
