Minju Joson Friday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This is nothing but a crafty trick to mislead the public opinion in a bid to cover up the crimes the puppet group committed by pushing the situation in KIZ to the present deplorable phase and divert businessmen and people's criticism of it to the DPRK.

It is the ulterior intention of the puppet regime to bring KIZ to a total collapse and pass the buck for it to the DPRK.

That is why the regime is working hard to create impression that it is interested in dialogue, talking about "the minimization of the losses of the south Korean enterprises", working talks and working contact.

In case the DPRK responds to working talks and contact, the regime seeks to use them for escalating the confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The minister of Unification of south Korea on May 21 let loose a spate of reckless remarks before lawmakers from opposition parties. He asserted: South Korea can hear about a fundamental issue but cannot accept it. It is not in a position to have dialogue, complying even with the demand for making an apology for hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the north.

This is a revelation of its intention to maintain a status quo without finding a settlement of the fundamental issue, continue staging north-targeted war drills together with the U.S. behind the curtain of "dialogue" and persist in the criminal acts of hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK.

The puppet group is sadly mistaken if it calculates its trick will work on the DPRK.
