Rodong Sinmun Slams Poor Human Rights Record in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The people's democratic freedom and rights are being ruthlessly violated in south Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a bylined article.

It goes on:

In south Korea the toiling masses are denied political rights under the domination of outside forces.

Having installed puppet regimes in south Korea, the U.S. has consolidated its foundation there. It has prodded its lackeys into brutally suppressing the south Koreans' just actions for independence, democracy and reunification.

Not a few of them are killed by the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces and suffer disasters due to their crimes, but they have no one to hear their complaints.

Only a tiny handful of the privileged class is granted freedom and rights whereas majority of working people are denied them in south Korea.

South Korea has the worst human rights record as the toiling masses' independent rights are wantonly violated by law.

Such being a hard reality, the south Korean puppet forces claim that there is no problem in their human rights performance. They are busy kicking up a smear campaign against the DPRK over its "human rights problem," a fiction.

Lurking behind this campaign is an intention to cover up their crimes against humanity by turning south Korea into a tundra of human rights and realize the wild ambition for the "unification of social systems" under the absurd pretext of the "human rights problem in the north."

With no rhetoric can the puppet forces misrepresent the situation of the DPRK where the popular masses enjoy a worthwhile life, exercising their true political freedom and rights as masters of the state and society.
