Kim Jong Un Sends Birthday Spreads to Persons of Merit
Pyongyang, May 27 (KCNA) -- The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un sent birthday spreads to Candidate Academician, Prof. and Dr. Rim Thae Gun, head of a department of Kim Il Sung University; Kim Chun Nam, winner of Kim Il Sung Prize and People's Artiste at the National Theatrical Troupe; and Labor Hero Mun Su Ok, manager of the Kaechon Department Store; on their 70th birthdays.

Rim Thae Gun was born in a family of a day laborer before the liberation of the country. After the liberation he studied hard, benefited from the educational system provided by President Kim Il Sung. He has devoted himself to the education of students and scientific researches for over 40 years.

He explored a series of study subjects, authored a lot of textbooks, reference books and scientific essays. He helped not a few persons hold academic degrees.

Kim Chun Nam grew up to be a famous actor and played a leading part in the revolutionary drama "Mountain Shrine" under the care of the peerlessly great persons. For several decades since then he starred in several films and dramas including multi-part feature films "The Nation and Destiny" and "Red Maple Leaves."

He successfully played the part of the chairman of the managerial board of a farm in the light comedy "An Echo among the Hills," contributing to arousing the servicepersons and other people of the DPRK to actively turn out in the drive for effecting a great surge and making the whole country swept by the spirit of the drama.

Mun Su Ok has worked heart and soul as a servant of people since her girlhood.

She grew up to be a woman official known to the whole country though her fate had been no better than a cobblestone in a street, bereft of her parents in the past.
