They also openly declared the stand not to allow south Korean businessmen's visit to the Kaesong Industrial Zone (KIZ), trumpeting about "south-north authorities' dialogue for carrying out of raw and other materials and finished products."

Worse still, they urged the DPRK to control "words and deeds," speaking ill of its due criticism of the reckless remarks made by the Chongwadae chief hurting the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and its new line on simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force.

The spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in a statement on Tuesday termed this a shameless challenge to the public opinion at home and abroad for detente and improvement of inter-Korean relations and a grave provocation against the DPRK as it revealed the anti-reunification moves for confrontation.

The poor sophism of the south Korean authorities and their moves of disallowing the north-south joint events for reunification are an unpardonable insult to the mindset of the south Korean people and the aspiration of fellow countrymen as they fully brought to light their true colors as anti-reunification elements denying the north-south joint declarations and disliking reconciliation and unity, the statement said, and went on:

The reckless remarks made by the south Korean authorities go to fully prove that they do not want improvement of inter-Korean relations, dialogue and detente and that the puppet group has nothing but a sinister intention to continue resorting to the moves for confrontation with the DPRK in league with the U.S.

It is the last-ditch efforts of those upset by the failure of their scheme of anti-DPRK cooperation due to the rapidly changing situation in the surrounding areas.

The puppet group is seriously mistaken if it thinks its trick will help it get something, getting rid of a tight corner.

The south Korean authorities should stop a useless wordplay and immediately allow organizations of the south side to participate in the June 15 joint events.

If they are concerned about "contradiction among south Koreans", they can take part in the reunification events themselves.

They should also open the way for businessmen to visit the KIZ.

We have already consented to the businessmen's visit to the KIZ and if they enter it, we are ready to hold any discussion on the normalization of the KIZ including the issue of carrying out products.

The south Korean authorities do not need to worry about their safety.

If they still do not feel reassured, they may send with them members of the Committee for Operating the Kaesong Industrial Zone.

The south Korean authorities would be well advised to clearly face up to the trend of the times and the people's mindset and opt for a correct way, though belatedly.
