Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. Reckless Remarks
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a bylined article slams the U.S. for seeking to justify its hostile policy toward the DPRK and attain its sinister purpose by painting the DPRK as "poser of threats" and "provoker".

Some time ago, U.S. Secretary of State Kerry said that nukes and missiles of the DPRK threatened peace and security of Northeast Asia. He urged the DPRK to show sincerity concerning denuclearization. Prior to this, the U.S. chief executive and the special representative for north Korea policy of the U.S. Department of State stressed the need to lure the DPRK to change, expressing the will not to wait for it to do so.

The U.S. claims that "threats" come from nukes and missiles of the DPRK but this is just ridiculous sophism, the paper says, and goes on:

Washington's rhetoric about "threat" is part of its shameless scheme to cover up its true colors as a real culprit of nuclear threats and shift the blame for it on to others.

High-ranking officials of the U.S. vociferated about the "threats" and "provocations" at a time when a joint military drill for invasion of the DPRK was under way in south Korea and its vicinity.

Deeds of the U.S. authorities make the DPRK know well what they really desire.

Under the condition of ceaseless nuclear threats by Washington, Pyongyang will not unilaterally abandon its war deterrence, suffering sacrifice. This is the lesson it drew from the crisis of the Korean Peninsula.

If the U.S. tries to change the DPRK with mean plots as now, it will make a big failure. If it truly wants peace of the peninsula, it should comprehensively withdraw the nuclear war equipment from south Korea and its vicinity and drop the hostile policy toward the DPRK with the decision not to throw them into this region again.
