KCNA Commentary Denounces S. Korean Regime's Human Rights Racket against DPRK

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet Ministry of Unification is taking the lead in the "human rights" racket against the DPRK. Ryu Kil Jae, minister of Unification, at an anti-DPRK "human rights" farce staged in Seoul under the signboard of an international meeting, blustered that "he would work out a key plan for the improvement of human rights in the north". He even called on the attendants to "respond" to the "efforts to improve human rights in the north" through "a confidence-building process". This is nothing but a cynical ploy to build up public opinion on the non-existent "human rights issue" in the DPRK in a bid to tarnish its dignified image and ratchet up the atmosphere of confrontation with it internally and externally. Much upset by their repeated setbacks in the military and political showdown with the DPRK, the south Korean puppet forces are getting frantic with an anti-DPRK "human rights" racket. The Ministry of Unification is playing the role of a shock force in carrying out the puppet group of traitors' sinister scenario to achieve "unification of social systems" at any cost through a "human rights" campaign plus a nuclear racket. Whenever an opportunity presents itself, mandarins of the ministry blustered that "the north's access to nukes is intolerable", "south-north cooperation is impossible as long as the north keeps nukes". They are becoming vocal slandering the DPRK's will to take toughest counter actions, urging it to "stop provocations" and "make a right option." They are working hard to bar the fundamental solution to the crisis in the Kaesong Industrial Zone and shift the blame for it onto the DPRK. Turning a blind eye to the human rights abuses in south Korea, the world's worst tundra of human rights, the ministry is busy finding fault with the human rights performance in the DPRK. This is nothing but a thrice-cursed act of inciting confrontation with compatriots. Now is the time to take serious and condemn the most hideous human rights abuses the military gangsters committed in May, 33 years ago by turning Kwangju City into a scene of genocide. The south Korean puppet forces, however, are busy with a smear campaign by staging a "human rights" farce against the DPRK. Nothing is more ridiculous ruckus than this. The present ruling forces in south Korea are busy embellishing the erstwhile military dictatorial rule which cold-bloodedly put down the Kwangju Popular Uprising, distorting history and suppressing the freedom and democracy of the people. It is preposterous, indeed, for them to talk about someone's "human rights" though they are not in a position to complain about the evermore undisguised human rights abuses committed by GIs in south Korea. No wonder, the south Korean people ridicule the Ministry of Unification as a "vanished ministry" as it is hell-bent on the moves to escalate confrontation with compatriots through an anti-DPRK human rights racket. The group of traitors will never be able to escape a severe punishment by the nation as it is keen on confrontation and war in collusion with outside forces. |
