Minju Joson Denounces U.S. War Drill Targeted against DPRK
Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. staged an informal war exercise together with Japan and south Korea in the open sea southeast of Jeju Island on May 15.

Minju Joson Tuesday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This was saber-rattling aimed to make a military strike at the DPRK to all intents and purposes.

The military action on the Korean Peninsula where a tense military and political situation is prevailing is as dangerous as playing with fire on a powder magazine, the commentary notes, and goes on:

On May 13 and 14 the U.S. and south Korea staged a joint naval drills aiming at a naval strike at the DPRK with super-large nuclear-powered carrier Nimitz strike force involved.

Not content with this, the U.S. staged the above-said military drill, again pushing the situation on the peninsula to the brink of war.

This is what the U.S. is doing now while paying lip-service to "peace and stability" in the region and "peace" in the world.

The U.S. pretends to be concerned about "peace" and "detente" but its ulterior intention is to escalate the tension and ignite a war.

It is the strategic scenario of Washington to steadily escalate the tension on the Korean Peninsula and create an atmosphere favorable for knocking into shape an aggressive U.S.-Japan-south Korea military bloc and attain a military edge in the Asia-Pacific region on the basis of NATO of Asian version.

This indicates that the U.S. is the arch criminal disturbing peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and the rest of the world.

The U.S. is sadly mistaken if it calculates it can browbeat the DPRK through increased military pressure.
