Japan's Apology for Past Crimes Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, May 31 (KCNA) -- South Korean women's organizations held the 1 076th rally for a solution to the sexual slavery issue in front of the Japanese embassy in Seoul on Wednesday. They included the Council for the Solution of the Issue of the Volunteers Corps and the Federation of Women Organizations and victims of wartime sexual slavery.

Speakers at the rally accused the Japanese politicians including Osaka Mayor Hashimoto of letting loose a string of outbursts justifying the past crimes committed by Japan. They went on:

The outbursts denying the past crimes of Japan which forced a great number of women into the sexual slavery can never be tolerated as they are a provocation justifying the violence against women.

Japan denying the past crimes in spite of the existence of victims will be isolated from the international community.

The Japanese government would be well advised to apologize for its past crimes and opt for legal reparation as soon as possible.

On the same day the south Korean Federation of University Students in the 21st Century held an interview and denounced the Japanese government for openly embellishing its past crimes and reviving militarism.
