Noting the North Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration proposed holding an all-Korean event for reunification on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the June 15 joint declaration, the statement actively supported the patriotic proposal.

The inter-Korean relations, which had advanced toward reconciliation, unity, independent reunification, peace and prosperity since the north-south summit in 2000, plunged into a total deadlock after the emergence of the Lee Myung Bak's regime, and have now sunk to their lowest ebb, a brink of a war, the statement recalled, adding:

Such facts bring home to all the Koreans the value of the June 15 joint declaration and urgency of its implementation.

The present "government" of south Korea should ensure without any precondition the participation of the pro-reunification patriotic organizations including the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in the joint event of the nation for implementing the June 15 joint declaration which would be held in the first year of its tenure of office.

This will be a litmus paper testing the true intention of the south Korean regime toward the implementation of the joint declaration.

The Chinese Regional Committee will make all its efforts to successfully ensure the joint event of the nation for reunification on behalf of all Koreans in China who desire for national reconciliation and unity and independent reunification of the country under the banner of the June 15 joint declaration.
