Present at the reception were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea (WPK); Kim Yong Jin, vice-premier of the Cabinet; Ri Jong Mu, minister of Physical Culture and Sports; officials concerned, sportspersons and families of the players.

Kim Yong Jin in his congratulatory speech warmly welcomed Kim Hyok Bong and Kim Jong who bagged gold medals at the mixed doubles of the world championships, fully demonstrating the dignity and spirit of Songun Korea.

Their success clearly proved the validity and vitality of the sports policy of the WPK and encouraged all the service personnel and people of the DPRK in their drive for building a thriving socialist nation, he noted, adding:

The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un has shown profound loving care for the players and coach who have returned home after exalting the honor of the country at the championships.

The speaker called upon all the sportspersons to uphold the party and glorify the country by bagging more gold medals.

Then Kim Jong in her reply speech extended thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Un for having granted the greatest privilege to them though they did what they should do as sportspersons in the era of Songun.

She renewed her pledge to live up to the loving care and trust of the Marshal with greater successes in games.
