Going round the resort, he looked back with deep emotion on the leadership exploits performed by the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il there.

He said that they were tender-hearted fathers of the people who visited every place for the happiness of the people and provided cultural recreation grounds for people in every scenic spot.

After being told by officials of the field concerned that a shower site, sea observation tower, rest home, restaurant for bathers and others were built and now being used, he asked if the accommodating capacity of the buildings of the rest home can meet the demands of visitors to the resort.

He asked whether the bathing resort is not hit by typhoon and tsunami and learned in detail about how many people visit that place in summer season.

Hearing officials say that people not only from Hamhung City but Pyongyang City visit the resort and citizens of Hamhung, in particular, make it part of their life to visit there more than three times in a year, he said it is nice to hear that. This suffices to know well how strongly our people wish to lead a cultural and emotional life, he added.

He stressed that it is important for glorifying the leadership exploits of the Generalissimos and providing our people with a happier life to spruce up the bathing resort at a world level as required by the new century.

Our officials should have a standpoint and style to take upon themselves tasks for the good of people and go down to spots to help find solutions to issues, he said.

He told the officials to build modern public service facilities such as bathing booths and shower rooms when rebuilding the resort.

He also instructed them to build facilities that make the pine forest clearly distinct from the beach.

He underscored the need for the officials of the relevant unit and the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK to bear deep in mind the importance of the reconstruction of the bathing resort and make good preparations for it from now, start it in real earnest from coming autumn and wind it up by next summer so that our people may fully enjoy bathing in the newly built world class resort.
