DPRK Gives Priority to Children
|
|
Pyongyang, June 1 (KCNA) -- The Seventh Congress of the Korean Children's Union is to be held on the occasion of the 67th KCU anniversary (June 6). Preparations for hosting the delegates to the congress are making headway in real earnest under the special care of the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK Government. The DPRK pays deep attention to upbringing of children. Last year, supreme leader Kim Jong Un took a measure to invite exemplary KCU members to Pyongyang from across the country as delegates to the celebrations of the 66th KCU anniversary. They spent enjoyable days in Pyongyang under his particular care. The government spares nothing for younger generation, and the children in the country benefit from the universal 12-year compulsory education system and the free medical care system. On the principle of "Best things to children", the country attaches great importance to their education and life. |
