Pyongyang, June 4 (KCNA) -- It is reported that the U.S. is planning to sell fighters and their equipment and spare parts worth 0.8 billion U.S. dollars to south Korea. The U.S. seeks to fatten munitions enterprises by selling F-35 and F-15SE and arm the south Korean warmongers. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: This is a revelation of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, an indication that it is the arch criminal wrecking regional peace and stability. Disclosing the aim sought by the U.S. in the modernization of the equipment of the south Korean puppet army, the commentary says: It seeks to make big arms dealing and, at the same time, hurl the puppet army as bullet shield in case of contingency in a bid to diminish the loss of the U.S. forces as much as possible. It also schemes to inveigle its regional competitive rivals into arms race so as to weaken their strength. Countries around the Korean Peninsula are vigilant against the U.S. and south Korean puppet forces which use strategic strike means in joint military exercises. It is because they are intended to secure military edge in the region. Follow-up measures are being taken to bolster defence capabilities, sparking off an arms race. The DPRK has become the major target of the U.S. The U.S. is busy arming the south Korean puppet army with the latest military equipment in a bid to hurl it into military confrontation with the DPRK. It is none other than the U.S. which escalates the tension on the Korean Peninsula and harasses peace and stability in the region. |
