The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un called June 6 the holiday of the KCU members precious to the Workers' Party of Korea and all the people. He made sure that the anniversary of the KCU is celebrated as national holiday every year.

KCU members in Pyongyang and different parts of the country laid floral baskets, bouquets and flowers before statues of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and portraits of smiling Generalissimos and paid tribute to them.

Ceremonies for children's admission to the KCU took place at joint meetings of the KCU organizations and KCU general meetings at schools in provinces, cities and counties.

On the same day, sports and amusement games, public presentation of art works and talents were held at junior and senior secondary schools, primary schools, branch schools and other schools and camps across the country. They showed the world of the children's mind, giving pleasure to teachers and parents.

The games included 100 meter and 400 meter running, group running, hurdle races, throwing balls into ring, Korean wrestling, shuttlecock games and football matches.

Children of North Hwanghae Provincial Secondary School, Haeju Secondary School, Jaeryong School and Kilju Primary School played sports and amusement games, enjoying the holiday.

Campers at Jangjasan Children's Camp, Sohungho Children's Camp and other children's camps in different parts of the country gave art performances, held sports games and dancing parties, cruised aboard sightseeing ships and went boating in celebration of the anniversary.
