Minju Joson Friday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

The "internationalization of KIZ" proposed by the south Korean puppet authorities is a provocation against the DPRK and mockery of and insult to the nation.

It is the height of impudence to "internationalize" the KIZ, an economic development zone common to the nation built in the spirit of "By our nation itself" clarified in the June 15 joint declaration.

The DPRK side made a bold decision to offer an area of Kaesong to the south side for promoting national reconciliation and cooperation though it is a very sensitive place from a military point of view.

But, the south side is going to handle the KIZ like its own area, talking about "the internationalization of the KIZ" without any agreement with the north.

What matters is that the "internationalization" sought by the south side is not limited to the KIZ only. It does not conceal the intention to "internationalize" all aspects of the north-south relations.

It is due to the "internationalization" campaign of the south Korean authorities that everything in south Korea including peculiar and resourceful tradition and beautiful manners and customs of the nation are eroded and its society has become Americanized and Japanized.

Not content with this, they are working hard to make such tragic reality unfold in the DPRK under the signboard of "internationalization."

The moves for "internationalizing" the north-south relations are absolutely intolerable as it is an action to sell off the nation's dignity and sovereignty to outside forces.

The DPRK, which regards the nation's dignity and sovereignty as its life and soul, will categorically reject the above-said moves. It will never be taken in by such base artifice.
